Generic: dextropropoxyphene hydrochloride + paracetamol. Proxyvon is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain, either when pain is present alone or when it is accompanied by fever.

Indications:

Proxyvon is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain, either when pain is present alone or when it is accompanied by fever.

How to take:

This medicine is taken orally. For adults it is recommended to take each tablet 3-4 times a day with a maximum dose of 8 tabs per day. For the elderly and patients with renal and hepatic impairment dosage reduction is required.

Precautions:

Proxyvon is not recommended for patients who are suicidal or addiction-prone. It is taken with caution for patients taking tranquilizers or antidepressant drugs and patients who use alcohol in excess. Patients should not exceed the recommended dose and to limit their intake of alcohol. Proxyvon when taken in higher-than-recommended doses over long periods of time, can produce drug dependence characterized by psychic dependence and physical dependence and tolerance. This drug may also impair the mental and/or physical abilities required for the performance of potentially hazardous tasks, such as driving a car or operating machinery, patients should not perform such activities while on drug therapy.
