Chlorphenamine
Synonyms: Antamin,Chlor-Trimeton
This medicine contains the active ingredient chlorphenamine maleate which belongs to a group of medicines called sedating antihistamines. Chlorphenamine acts by blocking the binding of histamine to receptors in the body, preventing or relieving the typical symptoms of an allergic reaction. Chlorphenamine has antidepressant properties that inhibits reuptake of the neurotransmitter serotonin.
Indications:
Allergic conditions such as hay fever; itchy rash; reactions to food, insect bites or medicines, more serious allergic reaction causing swelling of the eyes, lips or tongue (angioneurotic oedema)
How to take:
1 tablet 3 times a day. Please see label. For more detailed information please consult specialist. Do not take more of Chlorphenamine than it is indicated at the label without consulting your doctor.
Precaution:
Do not violate instructions. This medicine may cause drowsiness.
